Wordpress is broken :(

I haven't been able to post in my photo of the day blog because wordpress is a target of attacks and I can't log in so it has given me a good excuse to write here.

Here are some photos from the past few days..

it was my niece's bday yesterday, Dulcie-Jean was 1 years old :)

I did some painting in the morning yesterday and more today

I'm have donated this painting for Sharlene's trip to India.
Will let you know when it goes on TradeMe

The day before yesterday I shot Maddy jumping on her new tramp :)

It is a rainy Sunday here, so wonderful as we haven't had rain for such a long time. Shaughan took Maddy into town for half an hour and I got to have a nice hot bath and relax, just what the doctor ordered as I have been a bit stressed.
I got to do a bit more painting this afternoon and I still have paint all over my hands and Maddy has managed to get paint all over her new pants, like mother like daughter!

If you haven't seen, this week I sent out the March newsletter for The Paint Pit - paintpit.com

I read this and wanted to share it with you...

The Youtube clip I have chosen today is of Miss Mica Still a Wellington Artist.....

The reading you shared is similar in concept to a community art project I'm trying to get off the ground.

I would be honored if you would give it your consideration (I can extend the deadline to the end of April)

Good-Bye Summer Family Ritual

For the past week I have been feeling the shift of seasons from summer into autumn. This has motivated me to c lean out closets, freshening up our home, make this summer photo collage, and created a family ritual. I'm really enjoying blogging again, it's been years since I have written everyday. I used to do morning pages before I got pregnant, I have heaps of books full of my dribble. The Artist Way by Julia Cameron  got me into the morning pages! Every artist should own a copy of that book!  I was talking to a friend yesterday and she wanted me to order her a box of encaustic wax. I haven't done any encasutic for such a long time, so today was the day to dust off the cobwebs and get melting.  Here are my 2 creations for the day... Releasing my MADNESS!  Getting more into it without distractions Don't you love the texture wax makes! I have been looking for my cutter cause this card is too big and I just can't find it anywhere.  Here are some other pieces I have done, in the past with encaustic wax.
