Colour is magic!

I love finding websites that are interesting. I have been on coloursofthesoul.com and am having loads of fun! I found out that the colour of the day for Tuesday is red. A day to get moving and put into action projects that you feel most passionately about, today will strengthen your resolve and increase your levels of confidence. Spend a minute focusing on the image to the right, take three deep and slow breathes in through your nose and out through your mouth to usher in the energy of confidence & passion.

You may ask why does each day of the week correspond to a different colour? It is because the Ancient esoteric schools that existed in Greece & Egypt assigned much significance to colour and its influence on our every day thoughts, feelings and actions. Their studies revealed that each day of the week was connected to a particular colour and on that day the colour attributes were stronger and more powerful. Each musical key links to a colour and corresponds to a chakra or energy centers of the body.

I did a little reading and it said "You are being urged to take a risk, you've pondered and thought about this long enough, break free from self limiting barriers."

Have a go for yourself...

The clip of the day is about book making, no wonder books where treated like gold back then

This week I watched 'Love is the Devil' a biography of British painter Francis Bacon that focuses on his relationship with his lover, George Dyer, a former small time crook, it was pretty horrible!

The card of the day is

Write the first thing that pops into your head. Write without editing. Use point form. It’s important to write out your answers rather than just thinking about them. Write quickly. Give yourself less than 60 seconds a question. Preferably less than 30 seconds.
Be honest. Nobody will read it. It’s important to write without editing. Enjoy the moment and smile as you write.

You are blissful and happy, and are pleased with the wonderful life you’ve been blessed with. Looking back at your life and all that you’ve achieved and acquired, all the relationships you’ve developed; what matters to you most? List them out.
11. What are your deepest values? Select 3 to 6 (See list of words to help you | list in pdf) and prioritize the words in order of importance to you.

Good-Bye Summer Family Ritual

For the past week I have been feeling the shift of seasons from summer into autumn. This has motivated me to c lean out closets, freshening up our home, make this summer photo collage, and created a family ritual. I find ritual really powerful it allows you the time to honour what has come before, say goodbye, and create intentions for what will come next. I've been poking around the internet and have found interesting articles on family summer rituals. Here are some of the suggestions I have read… Summertime is full of outdoor pursuits, so adding the outdoors into your ritual fits perfectly. Preserve summer fruits for the chilly months ahead. Engage in cooking or baking with summer ingredients. Shared a meal of seasonal food. Press summer flowers or herbs in books. Create a memory book of the past summer with photographs, ticket stubs, memorabilia, quotes, family jokes, poem, or anything else that reminds the family of fun times. Create a summer nature journal, detailing a

I'm really enjoying blogging again, it's been years since I have written everyday. I used to do morning pages before I got pregnant, I have heaps of books full of my dribble. The Artist Way by Julia Cameron  got me into the morning pages! Every artist should own a copy of that book!  I was talking to a friend yesterday and she wanted me to order her a box of encaustic wax. I haven't done any encasutic for such a long time, so today was the day to dust off the cobwebs and get melting.  Here are my 2 creations for the day...
