Saturday 6th October

I had a fantastic day yesterday! I counted and we had 33 people come up here yesterday and have fun.

The first group did lots of painting and had lots of fun doing that! The second group did some painting and played on the musical instruments for the whole session which was fantastic. They were great and shared with each other. What wonderful children they were they had something special about them and all had some spunk. In this photo I had said to say Wanganui rocks which they did with a small voice and then the said naki rocks and the voices came with great force, it was funny! They are going to come back next holidays and I'm looking forward to their return. I will upload some more of the photos I took onto my photo album http://paintpit.dotphoto.com/

I had Mum and Carolyn come paint more of the Mona we are doing for the Mangaweka festival and it's starting to look fantastic. I still have some work to do and will get onto that today.

I have been reading Deepak Chopra's book The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success and loving it.

I want to share with you some of the things in the book it may just inspire you to go and buy a copy?

The Law of Pure Potentiality - When we realise that our true self is one of pure potential, we align with the power that manifests everything in the universe.

Applying it to your life: get in touch by taking time each day to be silent, take the time everyday to commune with nature and to witness the intelligence within every living thing, I will practice non judgement and throughout the day I will remind myself not to judge.

The Law of Giving - The universe operates through dynamic exchange....giving and receiving are different aspects of the flow of energy in the universe. And I am willing to give which we seek, we keep the abundance of the universe circulating in our lives.

Applying it to your life: wherever I go and whoever I encounter, I will bring them a gift. It maybe a compliment, a flower or a prayer. Today I will gratefully receive all the gifts that life has to offer me. I will make a commitment to keep wealth circulating. Each time I meet someone, I will silently wish them happiness, joy and laughter.

The Law of Karma - Every action generates a force of energy that returns to us in like kind....what we sow is what we reap. And when we choose actions that bring happiness and success to others, the fruit of our karma is happiness and success.

Applying it to your life: Today I will witness the choices I make in each moment. And in the mere witness of these choices, I will bring them to my conscious awareness. Whenever I make a a choice, I will ask myself what is the consequence of this choice and will it bring fulfillment and happiness to me and also those whose are affected by this choice.

The Law of Less Effort - Natures intelligence functions with effortless ease.....with carefreeness, harmony and love. And when we harness the force of harmony, joy and love, we create success and good fortune with effortless ease.

Applying it to your life: Today I will accept people, situations, circumstances and events as they occur. I know that at this moment is as it should be, because the whole universe is as it should be. Having accepted things I will take responsibility for my situation and for those events I see as a problem. I know by taking responsibility means not blaming anyone or anything for my situation. Every problem is an opportunity in disguise and this alertness allows me to take this moment and transform it into a greater benefit. Today my awareness will remain established in defenselessness. I feel no need to convince others to accept my point of view and not to be rigidly attached to any of them.

Well that is 4 of the 7 to find out about The Law of Intention and Desire, The Law of Detachment and The Law of Dharma or purpose in life get down to your book store and pick up a copy of The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success.

I have his pack of Success Cards which are great! I have just grabbed them and pulled a card for the day which is: In and of itself, money is not the root of all evil - I recognise the value of money when I learn not to confuse true wealth with the symbol of wealth. BEAUTIFUL!

http://www.chopra.com/ I just went to his website and joined up for the newsletter.

My message for the day was: You are an angel, and you are a blessing to the world.

Art Every Day Month Day 9 - Numbers

11 RULES FOR LIFE ONE - Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully. TWO - Marry a man/woman you love to talk to. As you get older, their conversational skills will be as important as any other. THREE - Don't believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want. FOUR -  When you say, "I love you," mean it. FIVE - When you say, "I'm sorry," look the person in the eye. SIX - Be engaged at least six months before you get married. SEVEN - Believe in love at first sight. EIGHT - Never laugh at anyone's dreams. People who don't have dreams don't have much. NINE - Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it's the only way to live life completely. TEN - In disagreements, fight fairly. No name calling. ELEVEN - Don't judge people by their relatives. I Wanted to Be an Artist, So I Quit My Job and Became One

I had to share this article with you today, if I wrote something like this it would sound just the same... I Wanted to Be an Artist, So I Quit My Job and Became One by Christopher Fife. "Hi, I'm Christopher. I'm an artist." Exhale, run my fingers through my hair. "What do I do? Oh, I paint. I'm a painter. Yeah, I'm an artist." I tried it out every now and then, in front of the bathroom mirror. It sounded all right. But when I introduced myself as an artist outside my bathroom world of make-believe, I always felt false. I was like Magritte labeling a pipe. If I said I was an artist, I was an artist, right? Not exactly. Since I dedicated forty-plus hours a week to my corporate graphic design job, I was lucky if I painted a couple of hours a week. I came to despise myself for this self-deceit, for my inability to embrace what I really wanted to be. I wanted to be an artist. So I committed myself to becoming one. I started out like most people ...
