Art Every Day Month Day 9 - Numbers

11 RULES FOR LIFE
ONE - Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.
TWO - Marry a man/woman you love to talk to. As you get older, their conversational skills will be as important as any other.
THREE - Don't believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want.
FOUR -  When you say, "I love you," mean it.
FIVE - When you say, "I'm sorry," look the person in the eye.
SIX - Be engaged at least six months before you get married.
SEVEN - Believe in love at first sight.
EIGHT - Never laugh at anyone's dreams. People who don't have dreams don't have much.
NINE - Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it's the only way to live life completely.
TEN - In disagreements, fight fairly. No name calling.
ELEVEN - Don't judge people by their relatives.

NUMBERS

Numbers play a huge role in my life not one day goes past where I won't see sets of three or more numbers. It started at the clock I started seeing 5:55pm, 3:33pm all the time, then I noticing triple numbers on car license plates, phone numbers and now they are everywhere.

I use numbers to help me get through the day; I know what is going to happen before it happens just by being aware of the numbers and their meaning. If I see 555 I know it is going to be a free spirit day and always have fun, if I see 111 it's likely something new will enter into my life.

Tomorrow see how many triple numbers you see and with the list of words that go with the number see if you can guess what will be around the corner for you.

Here are a few number paintings I have painted with their meanings

New beginnings, leadership, confidence, strength, new ideas, self sufficiency, whole, ambitious, & seeking perfection.

My card for the day was MEDITATE

It said....this card is a call for you to meditate regularly. Your path, body, and soul are asking for quiet time to reflect, think, and receive insights. Even a small amount of time devoted to daily meditation will bring great gifts. You don't necessarily need any form of training in meditation. It is simply sitting quietly, closing your eyes, breathing and listening.

I'm off for the day, time to meditate x x x

I Wanted to Be an Artist, So I Quit My Job and Became One

I had to share this article with you today, if I wrote something like this it would sound just the same... I Wanted to Be an Artist, So I Quit My Job and Became One by Christopher Fife. "Hi, I'm Christopher. I'm an artist." Exhale, run my fingers through my hair. "What do I do? Oh, I paint. I'm a painter. Yeah, I'm an artist." I tried it out every now and then, in front of the bathroom mirror. It sounded all right. But when I introduced myself as an artist outside my bathroom world of make-believe, I always felt false. I was like Magritte labeling a pipe. If I said I was an artist, I was an artist, right? Not exactly. Since I dedicated forty-plus hours a week to my corporate graphic design job, I was lucky if I painted a couple of hours a week. I came to despise myself for this self-deceit, for my inability to embrace what I really wanted to be. I wanted to be an artist. So I committed myself to becoming one. I started out like most people ...
