Eight Ways to Positively Maintain Energy and Vitality.

I have been reading one of my favourite books 'Tarot the handbook' by Angeles Arrien. I wish I had this book 10 years ago when I started getting into the tarot it is the best book on the tarot, I have read!

I want to share with you what she wrote about the Eight Ways to Positively Maintain Energy and Vitality.

1. The Ace of Wands: Truth - the state of consciousness where we absolutely refuse to abandon who we are and where we stay in the truth of who we are.

2. The Two of Wands: Dominion -allows us to be clear about what would bring peace, balance and dominion into arenas of our lives that would resolve anxiety and strife.

3. The Three of Wands: Virtue - when our mind, heart and action are in alignment, then we are able to be consistent, congruent. If the mind, heart and action are not in alignment this card reminds us to wait and not act.

4. The Four of Wands: Completion - move in new directions from a place of wholeness and completion.

5. The Six of Wands: Victory - the combination of flexibility and creativity allows us to create win/win situations in our life rather than win/lose situations. The ultimate victory is where everyone experiences a win/win.

6. The Seven of Wands: Valour - valour comes from the root word to VALUE. This is the courage to stay by what you value, not compromise or settle for less. This permits us to move in new directions and to see things more clearly.

7. The Eight of Wands: Swiftness - not to procrastinate or be convert and manipulative with our communication. Have direct communication and swift action. Often anxiety and oppression are created by procrastinating or by not being direct in our communication.

8. The Nine of Wands: Strength - at the core of who we are, we have unlimited resources of inner strength. The intertwined arrows represent the mental, emotional, spiritual and physical strength that is inherently available to us all.

One day I will bring out my own pack of tarot. I have started and have a big visual diary with heaps of notes already. It may take me another 10 or 20 years to finish but that’s cool as I want them to be a part of me, a tool to share with the world of what I have learnt over the years. I love getting older and learning more! It is so nice to see the world’s eyes changing with a more positive mind set and a better spiritual knowledge.

My message for the day was: Hold the thought that you would like God's loving assistance, and it is done.

Art Every Day Month Day 13 - Basic Colour Theory

An understanding of the basics of colour theory is essential for every artist and increases the possibilities for your work. Colours are, after all, one of the basic tools of painting. Here are some of the things I have learnt. The Colour Wheel Most color wheels are based on three primary colours, three secondary colours, and the six intermediates formed by mixing a primary with a secondary, known as tertiary colours, for a total of 12 main divisions; some add more intermediates, for 24 named colors like this one.  Primary colours:  Are the three colours that cannot be created by mixing other colours together  - red, yellow, and blue. Secondary colours:  A secondary colour is made by mixing two primary colours together: red and yellow to get orange, yellow and blue to get green, or red and blue to get purple. The secondary colour depends on the proportion in which you mix the two primaries. For example, if you add more red than yellow, you get a reddish orange,...
