Playfulness is on the cards

Maddy and I went for a walk around the lake on Tuesday. We saw baby ducks, pukekos, and swans it was a lovely adventure. My camera batteries ran out after a few minutes so I didn't get many photos....

My Youtube clip for the day is Girls Just Want to have Fun!

Time for FUN!!

My card for the day was playfulness
(I couldn't have pulled a better card for me!)
it said..Fun and play are the angels way! They guide you to add fun to your life, and to know fun is a necessity, not a luxury! You have many responsibilities and you need a steady flow of time, money, and other resources. By drawing this card, the angels want you to know that regular doses of fun can help you accomplish your goals. You may protest that you don't have time, money, or energy to play. Playfulness is a wonderful investment that brings immediate returns. When you have fun you relax. This gives you a greater inflow of ideas and spiritual connection, divine guidance and energy. The energy attracts wonderful and helpful people to you. Your positive outlook creates new opportunities for you. When you look at life in this way you can't afford not to have fun!

I'm going to have a few days away from my computer and have some fun! Enjoy the rest of you week.

Good-Bye Summer Family Ritual

For the past week I have been feeling the shift of seasons from summer into autumn. This has motivated me to c lean out closets, freshening up our home, make this summer photo collage, and created a family ritual. Engage in cooking or baking with summer ingredients. Shared a meal of seasonal food. Press summer flowers or herbs in books. Create a memory book of the past summer with photographs, ticket stubs, memorabilia, quotes, family jokes, poem, or anything else that reminds the family of fun times. Create a summer nature journal, detailing a

I'm really enjoying blogging again, it's been years since I have written everyday. I used to do morning pages before I got pregnant, I have heaps of books full of my dribble. The Artist Way by Julia Cameron  got me into the morning pages! Every artist should own a copy of that book!  I was talking to a friend yesterday and she wanted me to order her a box of encaustic wax. I haven't done any encasutic for such a long time, so today was the day to dust off the cobwebs and get melting.  Here are my 2 creations for the day... Releasing my MADNESS!  Getting more into it without distractions Don't you love the texture wax makes! I have been looking for my cutter cause this card is too big and I just can't find it anywhere.  Here are some other pieces I have done, in the past with encaustic wax.
