Day 17 of Creative Everyday Month

It's been a really cool day today! I took the bed out of my studio and put back my table and all the stuff I need in there, UNCLUTTERED space YAY!!!

I also got to check out the MANDALA free online workshop it is awesome. I got inspired to go in my studio tonight and started one. I'm going into town today and get some better paper!

Here is a tip she gave us...

I have also been wanting to paint a painting with a quote in it but I haven't found the perfect quote yet any ideas? I'm hoping to start this painting tomorrow.

I had another book delivered today 73 Lessons Every Goddess Must Know by Goddess Leonie Dawson. It is fantastic, lots of yummy reading.

Leonie put on the words biggest summit last month which was wonderful. I'm pretty sure if you missed out you could still sign up and listen? Visit  www.worldsbiggestsummit.com. I was just checking out some of her photos today and read about Palo-Santo-Wood-Stick, does anyone know where I can get them in NZ?
My card for the day is Oceana
You're in touch with your truth in this situation, and you need to trust your gut and lovingly assert yourself.

Dive right in! There's no need for more research or time. You can trust your feelings on this one. I will guide you through the actions that are necessary, considering the circumstances. Your main concern is to avoid procrastination at all costs. Break the situation down into small steps so that you don't become overwhelmed. Then, take those steps in regular intervals.

You already know what to do about this situation, and you have made up your mind to take action. I am here to validate that your decision is on the path of Light. Although there might be some temporary hard work or emotional turmoil, this will soon be replaced by a lightness of spirit akin to gently floating on a summer breeze.

Sometimes you may feel too emotional or tired to take action. That is because you're unsure of the 'correctness' of your decisions. Usually, unfounded guilt is the culprit that is draining your energy and happiness. This is when it's very important to call upon the angels to shore up your faith. Notice how the doors open smoothly witch each step you take. That is one more sign that you're taking the best course of action.

The clip of the day is silly...

Art Every Day Month Day 7 - Encaustic Wax

I'm really enjoying blogging again, it's been years since I have written everyday. I used to do morning pages before I got pregnant, I have heaps of books full of my dribble. The Artist Way by Julia Cameron got me into the morning pages! Every artist should own a copy of that book!
I was talking to a friend yesterday and she wanted me to order her a box of encaustic wax. I haven't done any encasutic for such a long time, so today was the day to dust off the cobwebs and get melting.
Here are my 2 creations for the day...

Releasing my MADNESS!

Getting more into it without distractions

Don't you love the texture wax makes!
I have been looking for my cutter cause this card is too big and I just can't find it anywhere.
Here are some other pieces I have done, in the past with encaustic wax.

This one was done with the iron on card.

Finally life is back to normal

Today is the first day in nearly 2 weeks that we have back our happy little singing girl. Nothing worse than a sick child! It makes you realise, on days like today, how lucky we have it.
I got a lot done today I started painting a series of affirmations paintings for our house. It will be nice to be surrounded in positive words when we need them. Called into the recycling centre and the supermarket. Gave shit to plummer Dan when he walked in on me cleaning the shower and chatted to the builder who is fixing our bathroom floor. Caught up with Chanz, Mum and Lyn. Got my 4 artist trading cards ready to send off 2mora for the next trade. Bought a Norfolk pine for our Christmas Tree, potted it in a lovely pot and decorated. I also split up one of my plants that I have wanted to do for sometime now but had ran out of potting mix. I got a shock when I drove into the Springvale Garden Centre it's FLASH! They have a kids play area, I have never been to a garden centre with a playground in …
