Life is DANDY!

I have been a girlie girl this week and have got out all my stuff like the eye tint as you can see here I gave Rere's eye lashes a wee lift and it looks gorgeous! I got my scissors out and cut my hair and even tried to go blond but the it didn't turn out because the product was too old. I miss working at KMS Haircare cause I had the best range of products.
Midge called in yesterday which was a nice surprise he is playing at Vega on Sunday afternoon so we might go and have a drink and check it out after lunch. We are having a big Christmas day here on Sunday with our friends to celebrate Christmas which will be fun!

Palmy on Monday was a very busy day we checked out what we need to set up the fish tank so we can have tropical fish and it's only going to be $250 a lot cheaper than we thought. The pet shop was so cool! They had huge fish swimming around in their tanks, we spent ages in there playing with all the cute animals, I could have so bought them all home with me! We need a farm hahahaha! I got to see Mara by fluke, Kate, Josh and Dave for a brief moment before he played golf, droped my camera off which reminds me I have to give them a call as I haven't heard the news of what it's going to cost to fix it, went out for lunch and got a new battery for my car.

Shaughan bought a new car yesterday it is HOT! It's a yummy blue subaru legacy GTB twin turbo and I can't wait to take it for a spin today. I think he might just keep this one? I couldn't help but hang my camera out the window and take this photo. We didn't end up having date night last night as he had to got to Linton to pick it up.

My message for the day was: Be open to receiving all the gifts and blessings that we are giving you today. These gifts often come to you as small miracles.

I have got a busy day planned for today I'm meeting with the Wanganui wannabes and having a wee photo shoot with them which will be fun. I'm going to go and get my piece of glass and crack the mould which will be exciting I can't wait to see what it looks like as I spent all day working on it and everyone was giving me shit that I was taking so long but that's me I like to work on things until I'm happy. I'm going to visit my little sister who is looking very pregnant I might see if I can take some tasteful pictures of her stomach for her? I'm going to call into some of my friends places and make sure they all good and give our new car a bit of a thrashing.
I was just going through my photos and found this random shot of Rere, Stefano and Joecy it was taken the 2nd night before our exhibition we sat around her fire pit and went over some of the stuff we needed before the opening, as you can see we were all very relaxed.
I did some painting yesterday but ended up wiping most of it off as I was thinking too much and my brain wasn't in the space, peaceful, I need for painting.

It's funny cause I'm looking out one side of my studio and the clouds are dark and on the other side it is blue sky lets hope I have a perfect day for taking photos!
Have a good one x x x x

Good-Bye Summer Family Ritual

For the past week I have been feeling the shift of seasons from summer into autumn. This has motivated me to c lean out closets, freshening up our home, make this summer photo collage, and created a family ritual. I've been poking around the internet and have found interesting articles on family summer rituals. Here are some of the suggestions I have read… Summertime is full of outdoor pursuits, so adding the outdoors into your ritual fits perfectly. Preserve summer fruits for the chilly months ahead. Engage in cooking or baking with summer ingredients. Shared a meal of seasonal food. Press summer flowers or herbs in books. Create a memory book of the past summer with photographs, ticket stubs, memorabilia, quotes, family jokes, poem, or anything else that reminds the family of fun times. Create a summer nature journal, detailing a
