Another perfect day in Paradise!

First I want to wish Rere a very happy 30th birthday and a big sorry that we missed your party, I hope it rocked your socks off. It was lovely to have coffee with you in the morning and give you your gifts!

I gave her the painting that I did last Wednesday it is all about shapes and what effect they can have on your life. I painted it after the workshop that I held through the open studios. It reminded me of sitting at the back of science class doodling on paper. Yes I didn't pass science from a lack of interest and a busy hand.

I have had a good week, Sunday after the open studios I went and stayed at Maka's. I was so worn out that it was nice to crash out there!

We went to Mike's 50th party on Saturday night which ROCKED! They have such a cool place and great friends to party with.

Monday my house had lots of people in it.

Tuesday I crashed out on the sofa and watched movies all day and turned off my phone and door bell.

Wednesday I got into setting my house up with new projects. I started painting musicians and their energy they bring when performing. I have been wanting to paint these paintings for such a long time now and it's fantastic that it is happening!

Thursday I had another relaxing day and yesterday I finally caught up with my computer, Vanessa took me out to buy me a gift and coffee. She rang last night and we thought the baby was on the way but nothing came from her pains so maybe today?

I went through one of my old photo albums and took photos of when I was a little girl and posted them to my facebook.

This photo was taken when Vanessa and I lived with Dad in Auckland. From the top: Ness, Dad, Me and my cousin Sian. We had so much fun living there. Looking through my photos brought back many good memories and I have already had comments from some of my old friends who have said the same thing. I was lucky to have such a fun loving father! Thank you Dad for all the good times.

My message for the day was: You have angels assisting you in your healing, teaching, and service work, so do not hesitate to call upon us to support you.

Additional Message: "Spend time alone in nature, meditating about your desires and intentions. Ask the angels to help you gain positive perspective."
"Your life has been noisy lately, and you need to escape into a place of natural tranquility. It is time for you to be alone in nature, even if it is for just a brief while. You don't need others' permission to take care of your soul in this way. Simply plan your sojourn, and then follow through on those plans."
"Once you are alone in nature, allow your mind to wander wherever it wants to go. Notice your thoughts and feelings, and perhaps write them down. After a time, speak (aloud or silently) to the nature angels that surround you. Ask them to clear your body and aura of any stress that you may have absorbed. Then, meditate and pray about your desires and intentions. Prayers are amplified by the power of nature, and you will feel very refreshed when you return home."

Art Every Day Month Day 9 - Numbers

11 RULES FOR LIFE ONE - Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully. TWO - Marry a man/woman you love to talk to. As you get older, their conversational skills will be as important as any other. THREE - Don't believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want. FOUR -  When you say, "I love you," mean it. FIVE - When you say, "I'm sorry," look the person in the eye. SIX - Be engaged at least six months before you get married. SEVEN - Believe in love at first sight. EIGHT - Never laugh at anyone's dreams. People who don't have dreams don't have much. NINE - Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it's the only way to live life completely. TEN - In disagreements, fight fairly. No name calling. ELEVEN - Don't judge people by their relatives. NUMBERS Numbers play a huge role in my life not one day goes past where I won't see sets of three or more numbers. It started at the clock I started s...

I Wanted to Be an Artist, So I Quit My Job and Became One

I had to share this article with you today, if I wrote something like this it would sound just the same... I Wanted to Be an Artist, So I Quit My Job and Became One by Christopher Fife. "Hi, I'm Christopher. I'm an artist." Exhale, run my fingers through my hair. "What do I do? Oh, I paint. I'm a painter. Yeah, I'm an artist." I tried it out every now and then, in front of the bathroom mirror. It sounded all right. But when I introduced myself as an artist outside my bathroom world of make-believe, I always felt false. I was like Magritte labeling a pipe. If I said I was an artist, I was an artist, right? Not exactly. Since I dedicated forty-plus hours a week to my corporate graphic design job, I was lucky if I painted a couple of hours a week. I came to despise myself for this self-deceit, for my inability to embrace what I really wanted to be. I wanted to be an artist. So I committed myself to becoming one. I started out like most people ...
