Art Every Day Month Day 18 - Creating new spaces

Yesterday afternoon was fun! I decided that it was time to move Maddy into a bigger room and that meant that Maddy was moving into the spare room, the spare room was moving into my studio, and my studio was moving into Maddy's old room. The mission is on! Firstly I got Maddy's room all sorted, she was so excited that it was about 10pm by the time she chilled out enough and fell asleep. I was buggered too so now I have the joy of getting the other 2 rooms sorted out.

I couldn't help myself from getting a wee clip of her in her new room...

and some photos
.

Cute photo of Maddy at the end of her new bed.

She loves her new room

My studio soon to be the spare room.

Maddy's old room soon to be my studio.

It was really nice unpacking the paintings out of the wardrobe in the spare room, it's been a few years that they have been packed away. You just don't get the same feeling and see the vibrant colours from photos of them.

The Youtube clip of the day is of my cousin Joel having fun...

The card I pulled for today was...SERENITY

it said...you are moving into a time of greater inner peace and tranquility. Peace of mind means feeling secure and knowing you are always provided for. Even if your logic mind can't fathom how a challenge could be resolved, peace of mind lets you trust that god will create a miraculous solution. Faith is a key component in experiencing such miracles. By drawing this card you are reassured peace of mind is within you. You can feel serene, even in the greatest turmoil. It is a mistake to think your life has to be problem free to enjoy happiness. First you work towards serenity then your life challenges lessen and disappear. Serenity is your natural state of mind.

Right I had better get back to it so that it doesn't fill the rest of my day  finishing.

Good-Bye Summer Family Ritual

For the past week I have been feeling the shift of seasons from summer into autumn. This has motivated me to c lean out closets, freshening up our home, make this summer photo collage, and created a family ritual. I find ritual really powerful it allows you the time to honour what has come before, say goodbye, and create intentions for what will come next. Create a summer nature journal, detailing a
