Art Every Day Month Day 23 - Land Art

I had a good time yesterday. There are 9 people going for the poker world record, 115 hours of poker, and I thought my husband was addicted. Here is a clip from my handy cam, hopefully today we will edit the real footage and get that up soon, but until then....

Note to self: don't drink coffee when you don't want your hand to shake LOL!

Click here to view the album of photos I took while waiting for all the contestants to arrive. You can also view the poker players live by clicking here.

We have a perfect day here, I have decided to be in the garden today and hope to do some natural land art which is an art movement which emerged in the United States in the late 1960s and early 1970s, it is an art form that is created in nature, using natural materials such as soil, rock (bed rock, boulders, stones), organic media (logs, branches, leaves), and water. It can also be with introduced materials such as concrete, metal, asphalt, mineral pigments. I want to a piece to decorate Ralph's grave.

Check out Andy Goldsworthy he is a British sculptor, photographer and environmentalist living in Scotland who produces site-specific sculpture and land art situated in natural and urban settings. His art involves the use of natural and found objects, to create both temporary and permanent sculptures which draw out the character of their environment.

I started to sort out the plant pots, all my plants need re-potting, and I jumped a metre when I saw the biggest fattest cockroach in my life..

Here are a few of my photos of natural art...

This is my first ever natural art sculpture

A fun family activity

It stayed there for ages before the wind got it.

I wish I could find a better photo of this day, it was fun!

I had to pop this photo in!

My Youtube clip for the day is The Gravy - Prakash Patel

My card for today was Focus On Service
it said...Use your natural talents, passions, and interests to help others or some vital cause. Then, through the law of attraction, you'll receive all of the support you will need. Release money worries to God and the angels. Be receptive to inner divine guidance and follow it without hesitation. If you get nervous, focus on service. I have to tell you I did feel a little nervous today for about a minute. I went to see a lady about a studio space and she offered me a better space right in town. BIO!
Back into doing big painting I can't wait.

I have to share this dude who wears paint..AWESOME!

Good-Bye Summer Family Ritual

For the past week I have been feeling the shift of seasons from summer into autumn. This has motivated me to c lean out closets, freshening up our home, make this summer photo collage, and created a family ritual. Create a memory book of the past summer with photographs, ticket stubs, memorabilia, quotes, family jokes, poem, or anything else that reminds the family of fun times. Create a summer nature journal, detailing a
