Art Every Day Month Day 21 - Art Movies

Last night was the first time that I sat in my new studio and I loved it. I still have to have a big sort out and get the storage sorted but that can wait for another day....I'm just going to sit and think today!


I think my daughter is very much like me and taken over the house with art stuff...





It is a lovely rainy day here today a perfect day for watching artist movies and documentaries. What are your top 10? Here are mine...

it said..Spend time alone in quite thought. Clear your mind, and focus on your truth and priories. Are you pushing yourself to hard? The angels remind us that rest is a natural cycle in everything. Think of the mighty oak tree that grows in spurts and then rests. It draws nourishment from deep within the earth and takes time before growing upward again. It is important for you to nourish yourself with spiritual and emotional food. While you are resting, take time to reflect on your true hearts desires. Desire to make a difference in the world.

Thanks Sunshine I was thinking of doing a natural art sculpture tomorrow, so seeing Andy Goldsworthy pop up, I think it is a must! I'm not sure if I have seen What Remains? x

Latest Painting

My friend keeps asking for my Love Everybody painting and I just can't give it up yet. It was her birthday last week so I got stuck in, and painted her a smaller version. I think she will love it? I'm sure she will give me shit about not giving her the big one.  Miss Paula's painting So got snapped as Paula Ann read this blog before getting her painting.  She loves it... This morning I have been hanging out on NZ sculpture park website, getting excited about sculpture. I have been wanting to get into sculpture for a long time but never have. Latest painting process

I have just put the last of the paint on the canvas  'SPIRITS CHAIN' I've had fun painting this tortured woman. They say when you paint what you fear you paint your best work.  Progress photos... had a moment of sick of trying to fix the eyes that I started again my little cutie was having fun with me in the studio   This is me the beginning doing a bit of research for my painting. I was so excited that I couldn't wait I went straight out to the studio in my dressing gown. The card for the day is...
