Today is the start of the Art Every Day Month Challenge!

I started 2010 painting everyday but after 5 months I got a wee bit sidetracked. When I read about Leah's November Challenge, I knew it was time to get back into my studio and paint everyday. I haven't done anything yet today I'm cooking dinner and getting the little one off to bed then I will.

I did manage to get the Paint Pit newsletter out today CLICK HERE to read, and there was a new artist from Wanganui that I added to the Paint Pit site CLICK HERE to view Jean's profile.

I'll be back after dinner....

Well I didn't get the paints out. I thought I would use the opportunity to do an Artist Trading Card for our meeting at the end of the month. Here is my creativity for the day...DREAM

I like to post a Youtube video each blog I write, so I'm going to post how to create an artists trading card for those of you that have never done it before....

I'm looking forward tomorrow to see what I will create.

I also like to the angel card that I pulled for the day and today I pulled 'Nurture Yourself' from my Ascended Masters pack. It said...You've given a lot of yourself lately, and now it is time to give something back to yourself. You've drawn this card because you need to nurture yourself. This means taking care of your body through sleep, detoxification, and exercise. It also means taking care of your needs as you would for others. To have more energy, abundance, peace, purpose, and everything that you desire, nurture yourself.
How appropriate! I'm going to turn off my computer and nurture myself then an early night to bed.
Sweet dreams all.
Love Dee x

The artist trading cards look like fun - I've never made one before.

I look forward to seeing what else you create :)
I love the idea of the artists trading cards. I work in polymer clay. but I've been toying with the idea of doing more mixed media pieces. This might be a good way to experiment.

Good-Bye Summer Family Ritual

For the past week I have been feeling the shift of seasons from summer into autumn. This has motivated me to c lean out closets, freshening up our home, make this summer photo collage, and created a family ritual. I find ritual really powerful it allows you the time to honour what has come before, say goodbye, and create intentions for what will come next. Engage in cooking or baking with summer ingredients. Shared a meal of seasonal food. Press summer flowers or herbs in books. Create a memory book of the past summer with photographs, ticket stubs, memorabilia, quotes, family jokes, poem, or anything else that reminds the family of fun times. Create a summer nature journal, detailing a
